In the constantly evolving international education landscape, strong and sustainable connections between high school counselors and universities are crucial. These relationships enhance communication, ensuring that students and their families receive accurate, timely, and trustworthy information when making important decisions about higher education.
The SRT E-Conference for International Educators offers a dedicated platform for school counselors, IECs, university representatives, and country groups to collaborate, exchange insights, and strengthen partnerships that support students in their transition to higher education.
In 2025, our Spring regional e-conferences will take place on two separate dates, with each edition tailored for counselors in different regions.
- MENA and Beyond Edition hosted in partnership with Gulf Edu Tours: 19-20 May 2025
- The Americas Edition: 21-22 May 2025
Why strong connections matter
By providing spaces for schools and universities to communicate effectively, schools can gain deeper insights into university expectations, and universities can help ensure students are well-prepared to align with their programs, leading to stronger recruitment and retention. As counselors build a more comprehensive understanding of university requirements, they can more confidently present options to parents, helping them support their children in making informed choices about their future.
Fostering collaboration through the SRT E-Conference
Sustaining these critical connections requires ongoing engagement, and the SRT E-Conference for International Educators provides a dedicated platform for building long-term relationships between schools and universities. Through one-on-one meetings, interactive sessions, and panel discussions, participants can access essential collaboration opportunities.
The e-conferences facilitate dialogue between counselors and universities, ensuring continuous information exchange throughout the two-day events. Counselors can access firsthand information on admission trends, available degrees, scholarship opportunities, and institutional expectations, while universities have the chance to develop a deeper understanding of student profiles from different regions.
By participating in the SRT E-Conference, counselors and universities can cultivate meaningful, lasting partnerships that enhance student success and elevate the overall admissions experience. Strong, sustainable connections are the foundation of a well-supported transition from school to university, ultimately benefiting all stakeholders in the educational journey.
A Path to Thriving Educational Communities
This year’s SRT E-Conference is centered around the theme A Path to Thriving Educational Communities, emphasizing the collective effort required to create sustainable, supportive environments for students navigating international higher education. The discussions and sessions will explore how schools and universities can work together to reduce barriers in the admissions process, bolster student confidence, and strengthen institutional relationships for long-term success.
As part of this theme, two Global Sessions will address key aspects of student support and institutional collaboration:
- Global Session 1: From Classrooms to Auditoriums: Addressing Application Anxiety
- Global Session 2: Turning Family Influence into a Pathway for Student Success.
